Terms of Service
Effective June 8, 2026 · Last updated June 8, 2026
These terms govern your use of WebsiteTherapy. If you sign up for an account, you agree to them. Plain language — questions: hello@websitetherapy.com.
The service
WebsiteTherapy is a website platform for therapy practices. When you sign up you get a per-site source repository, a published practice website, an admin chat that helps you operate the site, and optional plugins for newsletters, social media, search engine integrations, and so on.
Your account
- One practice equals one subscription. Multiple practice entities need separate accounts.
- You're responsible for activity on your account. Keep your credentials secure and don't share them.
- You confirm you're 18 or older and authorized to enter into this agreement for your practice.
Your content
- You own the content you create on your site — bios, photos, blog posts, anything else you publish.
- You grant us a non-exclusive license to store, copy, and display that content as needed to operate the platform on your behalf (host your site, serve your visitor chat, generate AI-driven recommendations, deliver newsletters, etc.).
- You promise that you have the right to publish what you upload. Don't use the platform to publish content you don't own or aren't licensed to use.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use WebsiteTherapy to:
- Violate any law or regulation.
- Impersonate anyone — including misrepresenting your credentials as a licensed mental health professional.
- Publish or store Protected Health Information (PHI) on your public site or in chat. WebsiteTherapy is not HIPAA-covered and is not designed for PHI. Use a HIPAA-compliant EHR or messaging system for any client information that constitutes PHI.
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the platform.
- Send spam or use the platform to harass, harm, or defraud others.
Billing
- Subscriptions are monthly or annual; you authorize automatic renewal when you sign up.
- We offer a 14-day free trial. You can cancel anytime during the trial with no charge.
- After the trial we bill at the start of each period. You can cancel anytime; you keep service through the end of the period you've paid for.
- The Custom tier's setup fee is a one-time charge.
- We'll give at least 30 days' notice before any price change to existing subscribers.
Cancellation and termination
- You can cancel anytime from your billing settings.
- We can suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. We'll give notice when feasible.
- On termination, you can request a content export within 30 days. After that we delete it.
Third-party services
The platform integrates with Google (Search Console, Analytics), Stripe, GitHub, and other services. When you connect those, your use of them is governed by their own terms. We're not responsible for their availability, outages, or actions.
AI-generated content
A core part of WebsiteTherapy is AI-generated output — your visitor chat's responses, autonomous SEO recommendations, draft blog posts. AI can be wrong, outdated, or out of context. You are responsible for what gets published on your site. Review AI-generated drafts before approving them. The platform gives you the approval gate; using it is your call.
Nothing AI produces on this platform is legal, medical, or clinical advice for you or your clients.
Warranty disclaimer
The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We don't warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any specific business outcome (search ranking, traffic, conversions, revenue) will result from using it. We disclaim all implied warranties to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from these terms or the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months immediately before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages (including lost profits or lost data) even if advised of the possibility.
Changes to these terms
We can change these terms. Material changes get an email to every active account at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date counts as acceptance.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state and federal courts located in California.
